Is vintage LuRay Pastel fiestaware microwave/dishwasher safe?
I have all these assorted Luray Pastel dishes from my grandmother’s house that I want to take to my college apartment, but they lose their usefulness to me if I can’t safely run them through the dishwasher and use them in the microwave.
Also, does anyone know how valuable these are compared to my non-breaking Corelle set? I have a…sorta clumsy roommate. -_- she already broke the lid to my tea brewing mug. Thanks everyone!
Fiesta ware brings some hefty prices these days: it’s highly collectible. Even if it were dishwasher & microwave-safe, which I think is unlikely, your best option is to use it for special occasions or display and handle it with care–gentle washing by hand, preferably in a towel-lined sink. Replacing it could cost you a pretty penny!
You may want to store Grandma’s treasures until you’re settled in a place of your own where you can care for your Fiesta items and really shown them off.
